The first and foremost thing you have to do before anything else is make sure your idea is new! I can’t stress this enough. I’ve heard of many cases where people would see TV commercials of companies that allegedly helped inventors develop their ideas, which turned out to be total scams. And I’m talking hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Hi,
I would worry less, at this stage, of whether or not you have the money to develop it or market it. Instead focus your energy on getting to understand the sector it’s in. The more you understand about the market, the more you will be able to understand your inventions’ role in it.
